Leader as Coach

Nine months. One hour a week. Skills you'll use for the rest of your career.

What is Leader as Coach?

Leader as Coach is a 9-month coaching program for senior leaders, executives, and high-potential contributors who are serious about their development.

You get one hour a week with a small cohort and a dedicated coach. This isn’t an impersonal seminar or a rushed one-day offsite; it’s a sustained leadership practice.

39 weeks—1 hour/week

Small cohort—virtual, live sessions

if you are...

Ready to Lead

You lead people or aspire to. You know the job is bigger than your title.

Looking for more

You've done the trainings and read the books, but nothing feels like it's sticking.

Future-focused

You want development that stays with you everywhere you grow, from this job to the next.

Committed

You're ready to do the hard work—on yourself, not just your job.

Invested

Some expense it. Some pay out of pocket. All show up.

How it works

Real leadership change doesn't start with your team. It starts with you.

Every Bold Font program is built on The Bold Font Effect, a four-level model that moves from the inside out.

Why 39 weeks?

It sounds like a lot, but it's exactly enough. Lasting behavior change takes time.

Each topic stays in rotation long enough to move from concept to skill—learned, lived, and made yours.

Transform yourself

Deepen self-awareness. Learn to manage yourself under pressure and in the moments that test you as a leader.

Transform culture

Shape your organization's culture. Understand how belonging, inclusion, and change show up in the day-to-day.

Transform relationships

Build resilient relationships that drive results. Practice the skills that make you someone people want to follow.

Transform structures

Embed lasting change into the policies, processes, and systems that shape how your team actually works.

Don't take our word for it.

Frequently asked questions

Will my company pay for this?

Probably—if you ask. Most participants use a professional development budget, which often doesn't require HR sign-off. You find the program, you make the case to your manager, you get it approved. If you're not sure how to frame it, shoot us an email—we're happy to help you think through it.

Why aren't session dates and times listed?

Probably—if you ask. Most participants use a professional development budget, which often doesn't require HR sign-off. You find the program, you make the case to your manager, you get it approved. If you're not sure how to frame it, we're happy to help you think through it.

What's the difference between Level 1 and Level 2?

These levels are based on responsibility, not title. If you're unsure which fits, reach out before enrolling. Cohort dynamics work best when participants are operating at a similar level.

  • Level 1: You manage individual contributors, lead a team, or are responsible for outcomes through others. You may or may not have direct reports. (Most often: Manager, Specialist, Project Manager, or Entrepreneur.)
  • Level 2: You manage other managers, lead large teams, or carry significant budget and strategic responsibility. (Most often: Director, VP, or Executive.)

Not sure where you land? Email us and we'll help you figure it out.

What if I miss a session?

We don't list them upfront because we don't want your schedule to be the reason you don't participate. Once your cohort is full, your coach will reach out to find a recurring weekly time that works for everyone in the group. You'll have a voice in the scheduling.

How big is the cohort?

Six people max. That's it, and that's on purpose. Real growth doesn't happen in a crowd. It happens when people feel safe enough to be honest about what's actually hard. A cohort this size makes that possible.

What makes this different from other programs?

Most programs give you theory and not much practice. Every topic in Leader as Coach stays in rotation for three weeks—you learn it, use it, and come back to practice it. After 39 weeks, you're not just familiar with the concepts. You've built them into how you work.

There's also no cookie-cutter leadership model here. The goal is to develop your own authentic leadership style—one that's uniquely yours.

Is this coaching or training?

Both. You have a dedicated coach and a cohort that holds you accountable. You learn structured content and apply it in real time. Think of it as a practice, not a course you complete and move on from.

What do I get access to?

A printed participant guide ships to your door before your start date. You also get access to the Bold Font Portal—session materials, homework, supplemental resources, and even weekly Spotify playlists by topic. Portal access continues after the program ends.

We're with you every step of the way.
