Welcome to the new Bold Font newsletter! I'm glad you're here.
I started Bold Font because I got tired of watching smart, capable leaders burn out, plateau, or shrink themselves to fit a mold that was never built to sustain them. Why? Because traditional leadership development has a real problem: It keeps us doing the same things in the same cycles and expecting different results. You won't experience real change or transformative growth from one-day workshops or generic frameworks built to be one-size-fits-all.
So I built something different. Now I'm bringing that same thinking here, every week, directly to your inbox. Consider this "not your Dad's leadership training."
The Font is a weekly newsletter for leaders who are serious about their growth. This is the kind of work that changes how you show up in a hard conversation, how your team experiences you on a bad week, and even how you build something worth participating in long-term.
Every week, I'm offering one no-fluff idea worth sitting with. It might be a reframe on leadership identity, the science behind the "whys" of manager training, what it takes to build a culture people truly want to stay in, or how to build the relationship skills that separate the good leaders from great ones.
I'm hosting the conversation I wish more companies were having. Some weeks I'll challenge you. Some weeks I'll give you something practical to try. But I promise that I'll sprinkle in fun along the way.
Every issue of The Font ends with a song. Why? Music is how I best process and work in the world, so it only felt right to bring that to you, too.
We're kicking off with Aloe Blacc because this newsletter is for people who are ready to do the work, like he says best:
"Stand up now and face the sun / Won't hide my tail or turn and run / It's time to do what must be done / Be a king when kingdom comes."
That's The Font. See you next week!
